Provide FPL with:

the location of the streetlight or the 11-digit number mounted on the pole,

a description of the problem and

contact info: your name, address, email or phone number

UTILITY POLE ETIQUETTE

FPL does not want to have to trim vegetation from your poles, as a homewoner it should be included in the rountine maintenance of your home.

If it is your neighbor's vegetation, please discuss it with your neighbor before call FPL to come and trim

If it is the actual pole that is the problem then send the information to Christine Campbell including a brief description of the problem, the pole number (on a small metal tag), note whether it is an FPL or BellSouth pole (FPL's are flat on top)

Hopefully you have been fortunate enough to never need help with your irrigation system. But help now comes on four wheels...and is free. Yes, it is free, and their goal is to save you money. If you think you have a problem or would just like some advice on efficient watering you can call the Broward Mobile Irrigation Lab (MIL) and schedule an appointment for a free evaluation. Just call 954-584-1306 or 954-873-7594 and set up a time. They will check for leaks and overall efficiency.

Energy Roundtable III

This year the Energy Roundtable will focus on a topic that will affect every Fort Lauderdale resident?whether or not to municipalize the City's power. Leading experts in the field will provide timely and relevant insights into the pros and cons of this decision, including what infrastructure acquisition could mean for customer utility rates.

The Energy Roundtable will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at the Broward County Main Library Auditorium, located at 100 South Andrews Avenue. The event will feature panelist presentations, a Q&A session and a reception.

Event panelists will include: Attorney Tico Perez of Baker Hostetler, Immediate Past President of Orlando Utilities Commission; Randy Knight, Assistant City Manager of the City of Winter Park who oversaw municipalization for Winter Park; Trevor Underwood, Economist and Author of the proposal to municipalize and underground utilities in the City of Fort Lauderdale; Gregory Booth, of Gregory L. Booth, PLLC; Sheree Brown, President of Utility Advisors' Network; representatives from FP&L.
