Garden Club Sprouts Up in Victoria Park
We're happy to announce our VPCA Garden Club is up and running. Although it's clear that many of us are novices, we're all anxious to learn and become successful gardeners in this unique South Florida environment.
All VPCA members are invited to participate, we'll have something for everyone, you don't need to have a garden or a green-thumb to join. Look for our new column " Garden Notes" in the Victoria Park News for information on upcoming meetings and events. Click on the More... link below to view a calendar of upcoming events.
"We are transitioning to a quarterly meeting schedule with periodic workshops. More information about the new Club schedule to be announced. We're pleased to announce our first workshop:
FALL WORKSHOP: “Nature’s Pantry”, growing your own organic vegetables and fruits.
When: Sunday, November 13th
Where: Criswell farms, 24 NW 6th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, 33311.
Criswell farm’s owner, Master Gardner and urban farmer Kevin Quigley, will demonstrate how to take advantage of our beautiful South Florida winter weather to grow that “perfect tomato” (carrots, green beans, herbs, etc) in your own yard or on your patio, balcony or roof top. Kevin’s step-by-step approach coupled with his years of experience providing organic vegetables to our community makes him uniquely qualified to get your future home-grown salad up and running. Kevin will also have everything you need to get started for sale during the workshop.
Free to Victoria Park Civic Association members and guests (contributions to the Garden Club are always appreciated)
For questions about the Club, programs or communication contact:

We extend a big thank you to Victoria Park's own Master Gardner, Teri Goldsmith, President, Florida Master Gardners of Broward County who will be serving as Advisor to the Club. We're very excited to have such a knowledgeable gardener helping us to grow our club!
Open to all!
Meet in ArtServe's parking lot on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
