BOND MONEY CONSTRUCTION PLANNING
We are at the beginning of an immensely important period of aligning our school construction projects to the Bond monies approved by the electorate last year, I want to ensure District 3 stakeholders understand the process and assure everyone that it is moving forward. To that end, I have scheduled these two town hall meetings to present our plans and answer audience questions. (Flyers will be distributed in the near future)
October 14, 2015 at 6:00pm a town hall meeting will be held at Northeast High School; and
October 15, 2016 at 6:00pm a town hall meeting will be held at Stranahan High School.
The District 3 "Conversation with the District" will be held at Fort Lauderdale High School on October 21, 2015 at 6:00pm.
Mr. Runcie will be conducting the annual "Conversations with the District," at various schools around the county.
Each of these meetings are extremely important, and I urge you to come out and take part. I, along with Superintendent Runcie and appropriate staff, will attend each meeting. We will be collecting audience questions prior to each meeting, and will answer as many as time allows. A nation-wide search is commencing for a new facilities chief, however until someone has been selected we intend to proceed with the work that our schools so badly need and deserve.
I do not believe I will ever tire of looking out upon a sea of caps and gowns; excitement and bright anticipation for the future upon each student's face, pride radiating from friends and families of our graduates. By the time this issue is published all our hardworking seniors will have walked the stage, and middle and elementary students will be celebrating the end of another school year as they march toward that faraway goal of their own graduation.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATES OF THE CLASS OF 2015
