Victoria Park Stormwater Improvements Project

Under the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Fortify Lauderdale initiative, Victoria Park has been identified as a Phase 1 neighborhood to address the recurring flooding issues that plague our streets and homes.  David Mancini & Sons, Inc. has been awarded the contract, with an anticipated total project cost of $33 Million.

Planned improvements to the current stormwater infrastructure include repairs to existing stormwater mains, installation of new stormwater mains and swales, construction of a new pump station, and associated raising of the seawall on the parcel of land north of Gateway Terrace.  Even if work isn’t occurring on every street, the upgrades being provided will improve downstream capacity, enhancing flow and drainage for the entire neighborhood.

Dates are still tentative at this point.  Once work begins a city webpage will be shared with further details, including information on impacts to traffic.  The maps below provide a broad overview (click the images to download the full pdfs and zoom in).  Work may occur outside the highlighted areas.

If you have questions or feedback on your specific street, please reach out directly to the Public Works department by contacting Deborah Cueva at dcueva@fortlauderdale.gov or 954-828-5807.

Construction is expected to begin in January 2026 and be completed in early 2028 (18-24 months).
