Diana was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. She is the third child in a line of four children, from Croatian immigrants. From the age of 2 – 16, Diana would enjoy family vacations in the great state of Florida, mostly in Madeira Beach & Cocoa Beach.
Diana attended Catholic school while in Ontario: St John’s from k-8 and St. Ignatius of Loyola for high school. She then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science, from the University of Western Ontario. This degree helped land her a job in Energy, where she has been for most of her career working for top notch companies such as Atomic Energy of Canada, Siemens USA and Quanta Technology.
It was Diana’s dream to live in California, so when an opportunity came to move to the United States, Diana jumped on board and relocated with Siemens to Philadelphia. Siemens relocated Diana three more times to: Orlando, San Francisco and back to Orlando. The California dream came true and when the choice came to stay or leave, it was a fast decision to move back to Florida. People at Siemens gave Diana an opportunity to work in Clean Technology, and grow and develop into leadership positions. She finished her MBA from Rollins College in Orlando, where she met a fabulous friend who moved to Victoria Park. Visiting the area, it seemed it was a great place to be, and shortly thereafter Diana had a job offer in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She has never looked back, coining Victoria Park the biggest undiscovered Gem of a neighborhood in the world.
From volunteering with Big Sisters and Junior Achievement, to being elected an HOA President, volunteering is in her DNA.
Diana has owned several small businesses, and has been able to keep up with all the accounting, licensing and permitting requirements to ensure compliance.
Diana currently serves as a board member for the University of Miami, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department, works for Quanta Technology, and is principal and owner of daYana Jewelry.
