New Playground Coming to Victoria Park
After years without a functional playground nearby, as part of the requested improvements through the Parks Bond, the City is planning a new nature-themed play structure in the neighborhood at Victoria Park (the small waterfront park just south of Annie Beck Park). Installation is currently targeted by Summer 2026.
The City has shared the initial renderings and is asking for resident feedback before finalizing equipment (note they are different angles of the same design). The proposed playground would be located under existing trees for shade (in the area circled on the map), and will use playground-safe wood mulch instead of plastic or artificial turf.
Community feedback has been submitted to the City and we are awaiting updated renderings to share with residents in March.
